Our Story
Cochran's Country Market first opened its big green doors in the spring of 1996. Tim Cochran, the owner, had managed a similar produce market during his university days. With a small loan from his father and a good relationship with many local farmers and suppliers, Tim opened up his own market which he intended to be a short term venture.
Twenty-six years later Cochran's Country Market has turned into a year round destination for the residents of the Kennebecasis Valley and the greater Saint John area. Cochran's main focus has always been providing their customers with fresh, local products and friendly individual service while supporting New Brunswick farmers and producers.
Cochran's Country Market is located in the beautiful town of Rothesay and is open every day except Christmas from 8 am to 8 pm.

Cochran's Country Market has always been committed to buying from New Brunswick farmers and producers FIRST. We have developed many long lasting relationships with our farmers, which includes being loyal buyers and paying them a fair and some times above market price for their goods.
Cochran's buys from farmers from across New Brunswick: Jemseg, Sussex, Waterville, Kingston, Pennifield, Hampton, Bloomfield, Woodstock, Barnsville, Bellisile, St Stephen, Oak Point and Gagetown.
We encourage our farmers to grow as much organic product as possible or grow it as naturally as possible (limiting the use of chemicals).
